ha. as much as I like to think/pretend/wish I was a really organized person, I've decided to embrace the fact that I'm just not. NOT. AT. ALL.
Here's a little glimpse into my everyday..
ahh...my desk. in all its glory.
here, you'll see my coffee cup and bowl from my super wholesome breakfast of coffee and lucky charms. and a cup of water that I'm never without (I seriously drink about 12 of these cups a day. at the very least -- its 10:30 am and I'm on cup number 4).
my phone nearby from my morning chat with my mom
a calculator that I usually can't find because Xander always takes off with it.
my daily to do list (that's the pad of paper with the blue checkered border). I make a new one of these everyday..sometimes various ones per day...as my realistic expectations change. This also doubles as my shopping list..
my mark off list of edits from sessions...I think I'd die if I lost that notebook..a very necessary (and somewhat primitive) part of my workflow.
then you'll notice the fat notebook on the bottom which is my .everything. notebook. I would literally cry if I lost that one. It contains everything from passwords to my "forever" to do list, from pictures that I've clipped from magazines/catalogs that inspire me to notes for pictures/poses that I see in my head. from clippings from pottery barn catalogs that I want to somehow replicate in my house to various schedules that I try to put myself on. and soooo so much more. like I said. my everything notebook.
Continuing on with the massive pile in front of me...my red bracelet that I was wearing yesterday that I took off because it hurt after awhile of editing..
the silk flowers that Xander brought me from a vase behind me.
a few various coloring pages/drawings that Evie created "just for me".
a white out roller b/c I can't live without it -- use it for everything from schedule changes (because I can't seem to ever use a pencil) to fixing things on my to do list b/c I hate it when it looks messy.
there's a jar of chocolate chips that I periodically snack on throughout the editing process..
also there (but somewhat hidden) is Xander's pacifier that I snagged from him this morning...
and believe it or not, there's a Barbie underneath all this that Hailey brought me for a reason that I can't seem to recall -- oh right. I needed to redo her hair because Xander took out the ponytail and it was pretty much the end of the world. Obviously super detrimental since its still on the desk and has been there for three days now.
There's more, but since I can't see it I like to think its not there. but pretty much stuff like coupons, cds, the ipod, about six more notepads, and other various toys that the kids have brought me..like the plastic hamburger that Evie "cooked" in the house out back..stuff like that.
So there you have it folks. This is how I work. It's a bit chaotic, but I love it.
The early morning sun poured in through the window, illuminating Tracy's face. Her face full of love, excitment -- she was totally drinking in each moment the day was giving her.
After many months of crazy planning, hand making invitations, and making sure every last detail was accounted for, the day was finally here. And Tracy was simply aglow. I love how amazingly genuine this woman is -- so full to the brim with love for Ryan, that at any given moment, she would simply burst into tears, so crazy excited for the moment they would lock eyes on each other and pledge to love one another from this day forward.
Ryan and Tracy. Thank you. From the very bottom of our hearts. We are so full of gratitude that you would entrust us to document the most special story of your love. We are simply out of words to tell you of our appreciation.
love, Ashley & Jon
each girls' make up was done by the fabulous Brighton Gerhart..AND she was a bridesmaid -- talk about a busy girl!
and I don't know if you know, but Ryan rocks the mic like a vandal.
Thanks again Ryan and Tracy -- your wedding was seriously such a blast! :) *loves*
